Thailand is one of the best countries in the world for a multi centre holiday; a multi-destination trip that packs the highlights into a bite-sized trip.

An exciting and exotic destination, there are fantastic places to base yourself up and down the country, from Bangkok with it’s magnificent shrines and street life, to the beaches of Koh Samui, and the busy markets, spas, and nightlife of Phuket.

It’s very easy to travel to Thailand and leave with a longer list of places to visit than the one you came with, and it’s definitely a country which demands return trips.

But what are some of the experiences that define the country? That are so interwoven with the Thai identity that people say, you haven’t really traveled if you haven’t tried this?

You Haven’t Been to Thailand if You Haven’t Tried …

Full Days of Temple Hopping

Thailand temple female traveler RF

Thailand is home to around 40,000 temples. Some are ethereal ruins, while others are live temples. These tranquil areas frequently have larger-than-life statues and architecture.

Beautiful temples are likely to be nearby wherever you stay in Thailand. Visit the world-famous Big Buddha of Phuket and other must-see temples in Thailand, such as Wat Chalong, Wat Khao Rang, Wat Phra Thong, and others.

It doesn’t really matter where you base yourself, there will be plenty of shrines and temples to see, and it’s a rite of passage to cram as many into a full day of temple hopping as possibly can.

How many in a day can you sight see?!

Sea turtle RF

There’s nothing quite like snorkeling in Thailand! Stay and play in southern Thailand near Khao Lak for convenient trips to the Similan Islands. Most snorkelers see dolphins and sea turtles while exploring the seas around the islands.

Snorkelers who don’t get close enough to some stunning turtles can make up for it by visiting the Royal Thai Navy Third Fleet Turtle Nursery in Khao Lak.

This sanctuary, which houses turtles from birth to adulthood, offers education and “turtle interactions,” focusing on preparing turtles for release into the wild. Alternatively, choose a secluded beach in Phuket.

Silk Markets

Until they visit Thailand, most people are unaware that this tropical paradise is home to some of the best silk in the world.

The Ban Tha Sawang Silk Weaving Village is a must-see destination near the picturesque town of Surin where you may explore and find one-of-a-kind souvenirs to take home.

This family-friendly site allows visitors to see how professional artists handcraft high-quality silk goods.

Sticky Mango Rice

Sticky Mango Rice RF

Everyone who visits Thailand either know about or falls in love with the sticky mango rice. Many consider this exquisite treat to be Thailand’s official dessert, which can be found in every restaurant.

This Southeast Asian traditional dessert is eaten with both hands and spoons and is made with rice expertly mixed with fresh mango and coconut milk.

Travelers looking for multi centre holidays to Thailand have endless reasons to visit this tropical wonder. Locals are always eager to welcome visitors to experience what this beautiful county has to offer. See you soon!
