I would take my tw200 if I still had it and I could take it with.

Circkuhs:

Yep, The VanVan. That’s what I put in my toy hauler for short trips, errands, and fun.

Honda Trail Cub 125?

It’s a diesel pusher, I’m pretty sure it’s got enough tongue weight capacity for a bike that’d be more competent on the freeway. What about an XR650L? I think they’re in the mid 300 pound range. Or a DR650, they aren’t much heavier.

hippysol3:

Ive looked at a lot of options but I cant decide. I dont want a towed car because I drive a lot of places in cities that people dont take 40′ vehicles and I dont want to get caught with a toad that I cant back up.

An electric bike looks good but its not going to be useful if I have to do a short stint on a highway. A fold up regular bicycle wont take up much space but Im not going to be getting groceries or sourcing RV parts on a bike. A scooter would work but most of them dont do highway speed if needed.

So far the best idea Ive hit so far is to mount something like this Suzuki Vanvan (cousin of the Yamaha TW200) on the hitch mount. Big enough for two, but light enough not to be a noticeable weight and I can still back up the RV if I get into a tight parking lot.

What do you use when you dont want to have a toad?

hudgen:

Honda grom is the route i would go. Pretty affordable and very maneuverable.

I’m picking up a 31′ class c today. Eventually, I’ll have my Jeep gladiator behind it, but in the meantime, I’ll just toss my DR650 on a carrier and callnit done.

That is a slick looking Vanvan, though ????
