This is the plug for my trailer on the back of my truck. It also has break control on the travel trailer. What is this called or can someone link the part for me? I need to wire one into my van

7 pin connector, or “receiver”

Affectionate-Farm850:

What are you trying to do? It’s a 7 pin connector.

Wait, what?

7 pin

Campandfish1:

When you say it has a brake control on the trailer, can you clarify?

If there is no brake controller on the tow vehicle dash (or maybe not exactly on the dash, but in the cab area if it was wired in aftermarket) the trailer brakes won’t engage even if the 7 pin connector from the trailer is plugged into this socket. So you may not have working trailer brakes even if you plug in.

unclefire:

That looks like the connector for a trailer.

twistedh8:

For towing.
