Good evening. Wife and I found this bug in our rv we are currently renting out. We also found a reddish colored one along with a bigger one (about 1.5 inches) similar to one in picture. Imo they seem like roaches but can’t tell how bad this is for us as we just started staying here a night ago. Thanks in advance.

Looks to me like a baby cockroach.

pdxrider01:

That’s a roach for sure

sad87boi:

Definitely a roach. I’ll get some that come in from outside depending on the weather. Spraying with Ortho home defense inside and out seemed to help a lot. Lots of spraying around the pad my camper is parked on, and lots around the jacks, tires, anything that touches the ground. Don’t know how bad it is for seals, but I also sprayed around my slideouts.

Bwb05:

Uh oh now you have a roach coach womp womp womp! Lol

wolf19d:

Based upon the image, my guess is an Oriental roach. Honestly, though, the image quality isn’t great so hard to tell.

They are occasional invaders, typically looking for water.

It looks too dark to be a German roach, which is the pantry pest and difficult to get rid of.

Again, image quality makes this a guessing game but you can google both of those roaches and see which one matches what you are seeing.

If it is a German roach, you will need significant pest control to get rid of them. Oriental roaches are much easier to control.

Roach traps from Walmart etc.
