Towing with 2017 F150 eco boost. Towing rated to 12,200lbs, payload 3,200lbs.

Trailer is has a loaded GVWR of 9500lbs, 26 feet long. It’s totally dry here, will be loading with dirt bikes for camping once all the snow melts.

Math adds up to me but she has done sag. Thinking some helper bags to level out.

Appreciate the feedback!

Zane42v2:

Be careful of the opposite problem with a toy hauler, if you put a lot of weight behind the axle you can get less than 10% tongue weight and it’s almost impossible to control the trailer. Unlikely with dirt bikes, but I wanted to mention it since we’re tow policing together here.

I think a WDH will solve this without a need to modify the truck.

Throwaway178402:

Yea not a chance that f150 has 3200lbs payload… Those are 3/4 ton numbers

Campandfish1:

The brochure might say 3200lbs payload, but what does the sticker on the drivers door jamb say?

You’re looking for the yellow one that says something like combined weight of cargo and occupants cannot exceed 1600lbs…

MakeItHomemade:

Ya.. your payload seems off.

To each their own but we feel maxed out (we max out payload) with our Ram 1500 rebel rated for 11k and our trailer is 6400 just under 25ft. We feel any more weight or length needs a a bigger truck.

Our truck doesn’t squat at all like yours- not sure if it’s a shadow?

You have a similar set up to my dad with his Stryker tow hauler and he bitched about it every time they had to drive.

I just saw some post with like 4550 of 5000 towing so you are better off than them .. lol

IndicationIcy4173:

Just front heavy. Try to redistribute the weight or airbags.

Outside_Bit5315:

You need airbags.

rdditb0tt21:

that looks awful.
