Was using the outdoor kitchen today and noticed water on the floor a little later checked in cabinet and found this hose attached to nothing but the water pump which I don't even use. Any ideas?

That might be for antifreeze input for winterization… there is probably a valve at the T where it connects to the pex… make sure its turned to allow water to stay in the pex…

Here is a good info video about other potential reasons you have a leak

A month? Mine leaked on the dealers lot during the walk through.

bjm31386:

I see lots of potential leak problems there based on what I’ve seen and read on here… Watch those PEX clamps on the flex PVC. There don’t get tight enough and water starts to leak out eventually!

lagunajim1:

The plastic fittings in RV’s get hand-tightened at the factory, and sometimes they need just a little tighter turn with a pliers (but don’t overtighten and crack the plastic).

Otherwise a few of the metal crimped bands won’t be quite tight enough to withstand water pressure, so cut those few off and replace with plain old screw-type hose clamps.

There are more expensive tools for removing the bad crimped bands, but I refuse to spend the money for the few times I’ve needed such a tool in 11 years.

The plastic connections have a rubber “washer” inside (more like a nipple with a hole in the middle), so do not use teflon pipe tape on them. A little tightening with a pliers will basically always do the trick.

FLTDI:

That is a hose used to draw antifreeze in to winterize. It looks as tho it’s set to that mode. The valve needs to be turned so that water doesn’t come out this.

kungfujuice:

This is a normal configuration. The hose is for syphoning antifreeze directly into the pump and water lines. The valve at its connection closes this hose off when using the pump.

I have that same clear filter on top of the black plastic connection to the vertical blue water line. The rubber gasket inside needs reseating after pressure changes, freezing, etc. I am constantly reseating it and no matter the torque of tightening it eventually needs it again. I am in the process of replacing or adding to this gasket to keep the seal. I’ll bet it’s that little bugger.
