I have the 26rb. Does this mean I can install 50 amp service or my rig is configured to wire it up or something? I believe I have 30amp right now.

This looks like options from the manufacturer.

If it didn’t come from the factory like that, you can’t easily predict the amount of work to upgrade it. From where I’m sitting, this would be the same job as upgrading any trailer to 50 AMP. No benefit to having had the “option” when being built.

It means it can be upgraded but right now you probably only have 30 amp. To upgrade you will have to redo the wiring and make sure it’s capable AF handling 50 amp service. Also have to change out the converter. It’s an add on option from the factory, not a pre wired thing.

It looks like an option f you want a second a/c unit

Yes, it’s possible to upgrade your camper from 30amps to 50amps. You need to change the following things:

  • distribution/breaker panel (which will likely require some carpentry work as the 50amp ones are likely to be bigger than your 30amp one)
  • wire from the power cord inlet on the outside of the camper to the distribution/breaker panel
  • new power cord inlet
  • new power cord
  • potentially a new transfer switch if your RV has one

The worst parts are the first 2. #1 is just a fair amount of work pulling the old one out, disconnecting all of the breakers, and putting the new one in. #2 can just be a hassle depending on the path the wiring goes.
