autisticBlue:

Replace with Pex. I’ve never had a problem with Pex.

GEN_DISCOMFORT:

You can pry those sur-lok clamps off with a flat head screwdriver, but honestly it’s easier to just cut the coupler back and replumb it with new PEX.

Warlord-27:

You can find all those fittings and pipe at Home Depot. Just cut it out with a knife and bring it to the store, tell them you need everything there

You’ll need cutters and the crimp tool as well. Don’t forget the crimps. 10 minute fix

Edit: they look like 1/2” fittings

AyahuascaKoolAid:

Cut it out with anything, air cutoff wheel, pex cutter, small saw (doesn’t really matter your just replacing it anyway) replace with pex, 1/2 in

TBEAR8770:

You don’t see that pipe too much anymore. That’s old school pex from the look of it. Some of the older pex or pex a is not compatible with the new stuff, pex b. Pex b is the red & blue stuff we see in newer units. Older motor homes used the pex a due to its flexibility. Problem is the id & od of the 2 are different. When I run into this at my shop I replumb everything with pex b. Too hard to find the proper fittings to join the 2.

604_heatzcore:

ewww polybutylene aka PB, do yourself a favor and replace all of it with pex, if one leaks, another is soon to follow.

Razzlecake:

The best thing to do would to would be replace all your plumbing with pex. But I’ve had good results with replacing just the bad sections of cpvc so far. It’s harder to find fittings to go from cpvc to pex, but not impossible.

Source: Need some advice getting this elbow fitting off as well as these hose clamps. As well as getting a proper replacement. I have some plumbing supply places nearby. Am I looking at 1/2 inch of 3/4 lines?
