Got a new to me camper and it has a shore power cord that has come with it. I have attached an image of the cord ends. My confusion comes from the fact that it's a 50amp 4 prong plug but appears to be a 30amp 3 prong connect?? The shore power inlet on the camper has a worn out label but appears to be labeled with a 50amp rating. Can anyone explain where the extra leg has gone and if I really get 50 amps and if it's safe to use 50amp shore power. Be nice I'm new to this ????

Kheldar132:

You have a 4th contact on the side of the trailer side. Three “holes” and one side contact. On 30 amp, the prongs bend in instead of out and it doesn’t have the extra connection.

saraphilipp:

Does the white part plug into the camper? Does everything work? It’s probably the correct plug then.
