lundah: I’ve been thinking about how to improve my “basement” storage area. I didn’t want to pay $300+ for metal slide out shelves. I found this video: https://youtu.be/mz5s0z4FnK8 that shows how to make a simple slide out drawer out of a sheet on 5/8″ plywood. I improved on the concept a bit by adding casters under the drawers and barrel bolts to the front to lock the drawers closed for travel. Cost me about $50 in materials and about 4 hours to make 2 drawers (one for each side).

Itsnotmeorisit: Very nice! I’ve been meaning to build these in my camper as well. One day I’ll get to it.

somekindofstephen: These are standard in lance

wintercast: Very nice. What camper?

out_of_serotonin: Great job, great idea

learntorv: Awesome job!

I’ve also seen this done with garage door tracks and rollers.

summersofftoride: Can you think of any drawbacks to this setup? I don’t access the storage from the top but would have to in order to access all of it with the slides.
