I’m considering one of these trailers to live in part time. It will be permanently parked in a fairly busy location with minimal privacy. Due to this, the deck and high windows are appealing, but would love insight from anyone more familiar with these types of trailers. Thank you!
Honestly, an attached deck is a massive waste of space when you can just add an outdoor rug and a few chairs to the area in front of the stairs.
I know you’re asking about this specific type. However, if you wanted something that you could travel with AND had a patio/deck, you could look at Toy Haulers. The back door comes down partly, allowing space for your dog and even you to go out there. Was looking at one myself.
I work at a dealership that specializes in destination trailers. We do not carry any brands with the attached patio, mainly because it feels like wasted square footage compared to other destination trailers. I would recommend thinking about how much you’ll use the deck, and possibly looking at other destination trailers to find what you want out of your space.
Gimmick, they rarely sell well and get discontinued, making getting specific parts hard to come by in a couple years.
As others have mentioned, giant waste of space when that space could be a very big interior room.
I bought something similar but a much smaller deck and love it. I put it under a cover and never plan on moving it. It has everything I need and it was a price of a compact SUV so no need to finance.
I can give you a real world issue with them, if you live somewhere hot the bed area gets unbearable. I love decks esp parking up at the beach or lake but for these hideouts one AC just aint enough
I like this a lot. This is a cool design tbh. You know what you are getting inside when you look. It’s a pretty cool concept esp for smokers and people who like to sit outside a lot
