Today I moved this shelf I keep in the back of my rv and discovered black mold and this weird fungus growing out from where the slide out meets the floor in my rv. I found the slide out seal is broken but i don’t know what to do to get this mold out. My girlfriend told me I shouldn’t even be staying in the rv but it’s my house. Please help 🙁
I’m not completely sure what I am looking at. It looks like something with roots? Right away I’d pull out whatever you can and clip out any infected carpet. Then hit it with some mold killer and make sure it is completely dried out.
You’ll also want to pull the slide in or put a tarp over it until the seal is repaired. This is really a keep it from getting worse first moves situation.
If you are lucky the moisture is somewhat isolated, but water has a way over creeping all over the place and wrecking the wood in your RV.
Do you have a picture from further way. I feel like I’m looking at carpet, or styrofoam, or all the junk you pulled out of the shower drain.
A better picture would be helpful. I can’t even make out what sort of material I’m looking at here. This could be a 8 year olds abstract art as far as I can tell.
