I have 2.5’ H x 7’ long single pane windows on both sides of my van. Gorgeous view, but horrible insulation. I’m seeing tons of different kinds of film, I was just curious if someone had already been through trial and error and have a good suggestion. I know reflectix is a good solution however I’d prefer not to go that route as I am constantly parked at different clients houses in my neighborhood. Having visible foil looking windows just feels a little unsightly for my biz. My AC works pretty good and I use the pop up shades + my curtains which help. Inside usually stays at about 82° even on days when it’s over 100. (In Texas).

We used Gila. Wife says it helped, and she’s in it while I work, but it won’t fix the heat, only lessen it.

GoddessoftheRock:

I doubled up my blackout curtains and it’s helping immensely. Even the white ones that let light through help a lot.

LiveAcrosstheWay74:

Is a awning possible?

Festello:

We used Reflectix. It’s insulating and reflective and easy to cut to the right size. Worked great in the head of Arizona.
