ElvisAndretti: I met Gable Rogers at the Philadelphia Folk Festival back in the mid-80’s. He was a nice guy and a great performer, I only recently learned how he passed away and why the park is name after him. Looks nice, I shall have to visit.
The-Random-: Nice retro!
mtnsunlite206: Nice! I’m looking forward to staying there for the first time next week!
pharocat: My favorite park! I love watching the ocean from the overlook while I drink my morning coffee.
TravelingRobert: Bucket list for me
i_want_lime_skittles: Gamble Rogers SP is one of our favorite places we’ve camped. We stayed on the lake side of the park and found the sites just wonderful. Gravel sites, no shade at all but there is a decent breeze from the ocean. Walking to the beach from the lake side was only about 5 minutes to the ocean. The other poster is correct, you have to book about a year out since these sites fill up quickly. Walking through the beach side sites we decided we wouldn’t ever book that side since the sites are pretty tight and we just don’t trust our backing skills.
cat_0_the_canals: That is our favorite park we have been to yet! We had an ocean site, and yes you are kinda close together, but you are at your site, in your chair, looking at the ocean! It’s so wonderful there. We were there for 4th of July last year. Going back in Sept or Oct ( need to check my reserve America for sure) I book 11 months in advance. You have to for the primo sites around here. Have fun!!!
