Not sure what it’s supposed to be but about 10 seconds with a dremel and a cutting disk can turn it into a flathead. That’s what I do with most of the stripped or otherwise stuck screws in my rig.


Looks like Double Square 8 Point Star Bit… but got buggered


Looks like a security Torx? One that somebody has already butchered?


That’s what is commonly referred to as “imma replace this with something less dumb” bolt.


Have you tried a #2 square bit? Most RVs are assembled with #2 square. I’ve sent 8 point screws, the square just fits 8 different ways instead of 4.


If it’s 8 sided try using a #2 or #3 Robertson on it


Star bit – 8 point. Comes in different sizes i think metric. Pick them up at mist hardware stores.

Source: Does anyone know what this 8 sided bit would be called? I have never seen it before and google brings up nothing. (On the fridge mount in my Dynamax Isata 5)
