jhires: Always cracked me up how Grandma looks the same in both pictures.

angsteroflove: If you're ever in western Massachusetts (it's amazing for camping in the fall) go check out the Norman Rockwell museum. I grew up in New England so Norman Rockwell was everywhere but I never reall knew how prolific he was. So much incredible art.

no-mad: Notice how there are no seatbelts and kid up front and dad chompin on a cigar. Times have changed.

SpacemanLost: Back before we strapped all the children into car seats and the adults in 3 point belts. Safer.. oh hell yes, but still feels like something is lost when I see a picture like that.

Reminds me of a trip we took in my Uncle's RV to Colorado circa 1975 or so. I was maybe 9 years old, along with my brother and cousin were a couple years younger. When we were on the highway, we'd be in the back of the RV looking out the big rear facing window and waving to all the other cars. We got a lot of waves back, etc and thought it was the greatest thing.

Wiggy_Bop: I love how Grandma is the same in each image. ????

And as a redhead from a tribe of redheads, I love how Rockwell represented us in so many of his paintings. ❤️
