I really love this plan with a living area in the shop part, just wanted to hear from people who have done something similar

Kstray1:

These are somewhat common in Florida, usually for the snowbirds traveling in rvs. Often not a garage but attached to their small mobile home in a community or a block home on private property.

bblickle:

This is really typical in desert areas for summer shade and a better-insulated space.

medicinecat88:

Yes. I built something just like this except I have a shed attached to the RV port, not a shop or garage. Mine is set up very similar but not as fancy. I used metal roofing because it’s a shed and RV port just for storage only. It works out great.

Sketchy_Fuker:

I have not, but that would be ideal for my situation!

auscadtravel:

There is a whole resort just outside of Lake Havasu in AZ that are all these. It’s a whole resort with a pool, store, games area etc.

Juiceman23:

Funny, I’m literally in the process of stick framing this now except instead of a garage I’m building a deck with living space on it

surelyujest71:

There’s a place like that fairly near to me. Then they added on to it, and it’s become a nice house with a massive RV garage attached.
