Hello fine travelers,
I have a 2009 Keystone Montana Model 2955RL. When I first got into it (about 2 weeks ago) I filled the Fresh water tank, thru the exterior port, turned on the pump and went about my business. Ran out about a week ago. Went in filled it through the City water connection inlet. Turned the pump on and it ran FOR-EV-ER. NO pressured water just a dribble. Went back through my head and reviewed my actions felt I might have filled the Winterizing line. Went in and drained all the lines from my water supply compartment. Refilled with water turned on pump NO WATER. I also noticed that
Sounds like a dead water pump.
Sounds like the pipes don’t go where you think they go. Or a dead/dying pump.
Edit: Holding tank sensors are crap at best and stupid, dead crap at worst. Get a flash light and eyeball it.
P.S. Black tank could probably use a good cleaning. 50-100lbs of ice (and about 10 gallons of cold water) down the toilet and 50 miles of the twistiest (or stop/go) roads you can find.
Can’t find the edit button. As I was saying I noticed that when I opened the drain valves (circled) the pump was working like it should. As soon as I close the valves it stops and just keeps “building pressure”. Advice? Troubleshooting? Also, I have dumped and washed out my blank tank yet it reads FULL. My fresh is full but reads empty. Advice on that?
I have never seen all the valves together in a central place like this. That is the open hole all about?
I have to literally get on my hands and knees to pull the valves to empty my tanks. Be nice if I could extend the handles or something. Getting tougher for these old knees to do that.
City water means you are connecting to a pressurized water source and would not be using your onboard water pump…like at a campground with hook ups. Fresh water tank has a separate fill line…connecting to city water won’t fill it…and is used with the RV’s 12v water pump to give you sink/shower water when not connected to a pressurized water source. Pump running and not building pressure likely due to your tank being empty. Good luck!
