RV toilets: Why I’ll never have a bathroom in my camper

Ditch the full bathroom and you’ll have more room for gear, save time on maintenance, and have an opportunity to explore.

  • Many of our RV friends have a little trash can for TP rather than put that in the toilet. We did that too. Also, when we rented a camper van/caravan in New Zealand, most RVs have a portable toilet. You manually remove and dump it – no hoses from the RV. You do tend to use more public toilets in that case!
  • At age 63, if I can’t get to a toilet fast…..well…..you don’t wanna know ????
  • I would never go without one. Having said that we also NEVER go number 2 in our toilet. Even when boondocking, we wait till we are in town with a public toilet. Then again we are weekend warriors.. I’m sure this rule will change as we become snowbirds
