a_god_damned_furry: They are called “taps” or “quick splices” and they come in a few different sizes for various ranges of wire gauges. The different sizes are usually marked by different plastic colors but the selection of color varies between makers.

Avoid using these things if at all possible, they cause a lot of trouble with unreliable connections, especially when used in locations exposed to water. A properly spliced and insulated connection is much more preferable.
