Recently upgraded and have roughly 200lbs more tongue weight than before. I haven’t adjusted the WDH at all but feel like I need to. I know my 3/4 ton truck has plenty of payload but she’s squatting pretty bad. Any advice would be appreciated! ????????

mgstoybox:

Do you have a leveling kit on the truck? Those exaggerate sag a lot.

If not, what do you have in the bed and what is the actual tongue weight on that trailer?

Seems like a lot of squat for a 2500HD.

I booked an appt with a trailer dealer and had them adjust it for me as I was in the same boat. Fyi it is hard to transfer weight to the front of an HD. The guy adjusted hitch height to level the camper then worked on sway bars to make them parallel to frame and that was all he could do. Took most of the squat away and transferred a bit of weight to the front. Cost me 60$.

dubie2003:

Follow the manufacturers recommendations on setting up your WDH and then get it weighed to dial it all in.

NotBatman81:

What are you hauling? A 3/4 ton shouldn’t sag that much on most travel trailers.

TylerTman:

Adjust the WDH… Not riding level

ApplePlusSeed:

Damn the truck is squatting 4”. Better sell it and buy a semi.

Check the hitch height and drop shank. Redial the entire WD system
