I recently buy a small trailer, private, and it did not have a battery. The seller said that the battery was stolen and he said all I need to do is connect a battery wire wire to one of the caps where all the wires are at. See the picture. I guess I don’t know what to do next.
The battery is normally on the tongue, outside the trailer just behind the propane tanks on a battery tray. Do you have red and black cables outside there?
I ask because none of this picture makes sense
And what’s up with that lone yellow wire with the messed up wire nut on it?
Owner’s story doesn’t make sense – there some missing info, I think.
Trailer batteries are always stored on the A frame. There should be a 6awg wire run to the outside tray on the A-frame for your positive and one grounded to the frame nearby for you’re negative side.
So, the previous owner stored their battery in the bay? If so, you’re looking for wires with circular ends.
But most rvs have the batteries on the tongue as many have replied.
That looks like to was were the battery converter was stored and missing.
The only two that look long enough to connect might be black and yellow. Time to get out the multimeter and see what you have. Coleman used black as hot and white as ground usually, but that mess has been worked on over the years. Do you have a converter?
There are no battery cables.
