Mr-Maxwell: Nice. Can we get some more pics?
wood2010: Congrats!
bersathunder: Very cool, what you pulling it with? Where are you taking it this summer?
AstroRodeo: Congratulations my dude! You’re going to love it. It was the best decision I ever made!
knobbiyeti: Nice! Be safe and enjoy the memories!
Jerseyprophet: Congratulations, man. We’re only a couple seasons in, so I’m no expert at all, but I’d like to offer you something we learned while getting out in ours: The places that you go to can be very, very different experiences, and if you have a bad experience, don’t get frustrated. When we first bought it, I tried to think of what might be an exciting campground, which was 6+ hours away and, long story short, wasn’t. I was having second thoughts about what we had just got ourselves in to, and on a whim, the wife and I decided to bring it to a spot where we go crabbing, off of the bay and away from everything.
It was the best day of my life. We watched boats come in and out of the bay, caught crabs and ate them 3 feet away from the water they came from, and took a nap together listening to seagulls. I fell in love with RV’ing after that, and the possibilities jumped out at me.
Boondocking is what we love, but others like the leisure lifestyle of an RV campground. It all depends on what you’re going for, and not all RV campgrounds are created equal.
Just keep an open mind and try out different places. Don’t be afraid of state parks. They still usually offer full hook-up if you need AC in the summer or whatever.
Congratulations on joining one of the most rewarding hobbies/lifestyles in the world, man. It’s a nice RV you have.
taylorsnow: Thank you for the good advice and kind words. It’s good to know that there are good people like yourselves out there.
