Looking at a 22ft travel trailer which will be towed by the f150. I’m wondering if I will have issues backing it in between the side of the house and fence.

Not worried about length as I have the whole side of house and back yard.

More worried about the angle of getting it in

The distance between fence and house is about 12ft

The rock portion now is about 27 feet from house to tree.

Trailer is 22ft long and 8 feet wide.

Before purchasing want to get an idea if I’ll be able to park next to house or have to find somewhere else.

No one here is going to be able to judge your backing skills. Not everyone can do it well. Theoretically it looks like it should work ok.

Use a trailer dolly. That would remove the truck from the equation. They cost a little over 1,000 bucks but it would be just a one time purchase and save yourself some headache. I just bought one a couple of weeks ago to move my camper around the house to fit in a tight spot. Works pretty good.

*Edit – They do make manual ones that are a little cheaper. But I bought the one with the electric motor to make it easier.

I would be able to do this but not my husband.

I’d worry about the tree. At some point you have to straighten the truck to keep the trailer going down beside the house. And you might find the left fender coming awfully close to that tree.

Gears_and_Beers:

Can someone? Yes. Can you? That’s the question.

Without knowing what the road looks like where your standing taking this photo but to me it seems do able.

When I back onto my driveway the biggest stress is holding up traffic and having my neighbors judge me.

You want to check the width from the house to the fence to make sure you have buffer to open the door and not need to be tight against the house. It’s nice being able to get into your trailer while stored.

Take it slow and have a spotter. Just remember the swears and curses said during backing up a trailer are not to be used against you.

Competitive-Set-8768:

put a receiver hitch on the front of your truck and it will be easy

shipwreck17:

Since that area is 12 ft wide it will be fine. You can likely go straight or almost straight back until the truck is past the tree and then turn to align the trailer w/ the fence. Often the limitations of backing into tight places mostly rely on what you can and cant see in your mirrors. You’ll want a spotter the first time.
